Island Maps & Transportation

BOAT – The Steamship Authority (MVSSA) operates frequent year-round ferry service between Woods Hole and Vineyard Haven (and Oak Bluffs during the summer season).

Many other services are available during the summer season including passenger ferries from Falmouth, Hyannis, Nantucket, New Bedford, Kingston, R.I. and even New York City.

AIR – year-round service between Boston and the island. Martha’s Vineyard Airport is in the center of the island. Seasonal service from other locations including New York City.


ON THE ISLAND

BUS — The Martha’s Vineyard Regional Transit Authority provides daily transportation all over the island. For maps and schedules, please consult their website.

BIKE — Martha’s Vineyard is a great spot for cyclists and has many paved paths all over  the island. The following shops rent bikes: Anderson’s Bike RentalsIsland HoppersKing’s Rentals, Ride On Mopeds and Bikes, Sun N’ Fun (Oak Bluffs), Martha’s Bike Rentals, Vineyard Bicycles, Cycle Works (Vineyard Haven).
